Flat Rock Speedway

(Flat Rock, MI—September 10, 2014): Flat Rock Speedway’s final race of 2014 will feature 4 divisions of race cars Saturday night, September 13. The 300 lap Enduro race will determine the champion for that class, while three groups will visit “The Rock” as part of the last race card of the season—the Sawyer Chevrolet Michigan Legends, MCR Dwarf Cars and the NAPA Bandaleros.

With the additional 50 laps being added to the Enduro event (normally 250 laps), a bit of strategy comes into play for the 300 lap contest, which likely will see several contenders pitting for fuel as the race nears completion. Robb Remick is the current point leader going into Saturday’s race.

The Michigan Legends and MCR Dwarf cars will each be making their second appearance of the year at Flat Rock, while the Bandalero class will make its first-ever appearance at the speedway. The group has been competing at Spartan (Lansing, MI) Speedway for 2014 and features racing for ages 8 to 12.

Race fans who attended the September 6 bus race at Flat Rock can bring their ticket stub this Saturday night and receive admission for just $5. The pit gates will open at 3, the front gates open at 4, practice begins at 4, time trials are set for 5 and racing for the final event of 2014 begins at a special time of 6 p.m. There is no rain date for this event.
