KIDS NIGHT, AUTOGRAPH NIGHT SATURDAY AT FLAT ROCK!
(Flat Rock, MI—August 20, 2014): Saturday, August 23 Flat Rock Speedway will host the Action Exteriors Kids Night and Autograph Night. Kids to age 14 will be admitted free and will receive a free hot dog, courtesy of Jim’s Butcher Shop, Sherwood Foods and Schwebel Baking Company. Fans can walk onto the track at 6:15 and meet their favorite drivers during the autograph session.
The ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will battle in a 40 lap feature, while the ARCA Praxair Figure 8’s will go 30 circuits. The TKC Go-Karts will also take part in the Saturday’s event. A flag pole race is also on the race card!
The extra-distance feature races for both the Figure 8’s and Street Stocks will highlight the evening. The TKC Karts, which compete at Flat Rock on Sunday afternoons during the summer, will stage several exhibition races prior to the main events. And the evening will be capped off with the Flag Pole Race! A flag pole will be placed in both the front and back straights, and the cars must make a circle around each pole on every lap, making for some wild action!
Parents can pick up the kid’s tickets/food vouchers at the ticket windows upon arrival to the track on race day. The pit gates will open at 3:30, the front gates and ticket office open at 4:30, with practice to begin at that time. Time trials are set for 5:30, the on-track autograph session takes place at 6:15 and the race show begins at 7 p.m.
