There’s
plenty of racing action in store for fans in the Southeastern Michigan/Northern
Ohio area, as Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways prepare for the Labor Day weekend
with 3 big events on the calendar.

TOLEDO, OH (8-15-2008)-- Make
it 2 in a row for former champ Howard Kelley Jr. at Toledo Speedway as he
scored the win in the 35 lap ARCA National City Bank Sportsman main event on
Allen Chevrolet-Cadillac/Qualite Sports Lighting Night. Tom Allen of Allen Chevy presented trophies
to the winners, which also included Dennis Whisman, Josh Bunting and Dennis
Futrel making trips to the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winner’s Circle.

62? Years old, but he doesn’t drive like it, at least on the race track.. The ageless wonder Harold Fair Sr. held back
the charge of his son, Harold Jr. to win the 50 lap ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup
Late Model feature Friday night at Toledo Speedway. And Harold took the win on Racer’s Reunion
Night! He was presented the Gold Cup by
former track champs Danny Byrd and Harold Cook, who were on hand for the
festivities.

attendance.

evening, August 15 for an autograph session for fans in attendance at the
Qualite Sports Lighting/Allen Chevrolet-Cadillac sponsored night of
racing. The track will also stage an
autograph session with the weekly racers, and the Kid’s Nickel/Penny grab will
also be part of the festivities.

VanDoorn grabbed the checkered flag after he tangled with Scott Hantz on lap 97
to win the CRA Super Series Late Model feature Friday night at Toledo Speedway. Dave Arnold
Jr., Amanda Bland and Matt Brazeau also were victorious on a very humid
evening. A large group of kids enjoyed
Kid’s Night, which provided free admission to kids age 14 and under and a free
hot dog, chips and drink, courtesy of 7-Up of Toledo and Seyfert’s Snacks.

NASCAR’s David Stremme One Of 30 Entries To Date
Salem, IN (July 28, 2008)-- The CRA Super Series is ready to compete at Toledo Speedway in the Crown Online 100 this coming Friday night. That event will be the series only event in the state of Ohio this season. The series has had a total of nine events on the ½ mile banked track owned by local businessman Roy Mott and Ron Drager, President of ARCA. Canadian Motorsports Hall Of Fame competitor Junior Hanley leads the series with two victories at Toledo, there are seven others with one victory a piece including Scott Hantz, Jeff Lane, Chris Gabehart, Fred Campbell, Joel Kauffman, Harold Fair Jr. and Johnny Belott III.

TOLEDO OH (7-21-08)--Funeral services for Midwest Supermodified Association (MSA) driver Terry Gibson, 46, who died in a racing accident Friday night July 17 at Toledo Speedway, have been set.

TOLEDO, OH (7-18-2008)-- Tim
Jedreczyk sailed to victory in Friday night’s MSA Super Modified feature on
Marco’s Pizza Night at Toledo Speedway.
The warm, sultry evening also saw Ron Allen, Eric Huston, Amanda Bland
and Mike Bershback pick up main event wins on their way to the New Glass Bowl
Lanes Winner’s Circle. MSA Super
Modified driver Terry Gibson, 46, of LaRue, OH lost his life in a heat race accident Friday
evening. No other details were available
at press time.

Champions Program Back In
TOLEDO, OH (7-18-08)-- In just 2 months, the 20th
edition of Toledo Speedway’s Miller Lite Glass
City 200 will hit the ½ mile paved oval.
Plans are starting to fall into place as preparations are in full swing
for one of the most prestigious season-ending Late Model invitationals in the Midwest. Brian Campbell of Jenison,
MI is the defending champion of the event. The race is set for Saturday evening,
September 20.

TOLEDO, OH (7-17-2008)--
NASCAR driver David Stremme will return to his roots to compete in
the CRA 100 Late Model event Friday evening, August 1 at Toledo
Speedway. The track
will also host Kid’s Night, with all kids to age 14 admitted FREE! Each kid also receives a free hot dog, chips
and a drink. CRA will also have their
“Family Fun Zone” set up in the spectator area.

TOLEDO, OH (7-17-08)-- Veteran Tim Ice has filed an entry for the MSA Super Modified portion of tomorrow evening’s Marco’s Pizza Night show at Toledo Speedway. Ice has made his name in Late Model racing in the Midwest, and won the 2000 version of Toledo’s famed Glass City 200.

hot, steamy night provided some great racing action at Toledo Speedway Friday
night for the Velvet Ice Cream Christmas in July prize give-away
promotion. Santa Claus handed out dozens
of prizes to race fans while Jeff Nelson of Velvet presented trophies to the
winners. Ron Allen, Jeremy Miller,
Landon Schuster, Matt Ringger and Brad Turner posted feature events wins in
their respective classes.
