There’s
plenty of racing action in store for fans in the Southeastern Michigan/Northern
Ohio area, as Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways prepare for the Labor Day weekend
with 3 big events on the calendar.

Flat Rock, MI
(8-16-2008)-- There was activity
both on and off the track on a perfect day weather-wise Saturday night at Flat
Rock Speedway, as “The Rock” hosted the Sterling Printing and Graphics/Leppen
Chiropractic Autograph Night. Fans were
treated by Flat Rock’s race teams to candy, photos and treats during the
on-track autograph session prior to the race program. Feature winners for the night were Eric Lee,
Billy Earley, Mike Jaynes and Larry Smouthers Jr.

TOLEDO OH (8-13-08)--Reserved seat tickets are now on sale for several season-ending events at both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways. Tickets may be obtained at either track, by phone or by down-loading the reserved seat ticket order form posted on each track's website. 2008_reserved_ticket_form

FLAT ROCK MI (8-13-08)--Flat Rock Speedway will host a Racer's Reunion this Saturday night, August 16th as part of the United Way of Monroe County-Leppen Chiropractic-Sterling Printing and Graphics Autograph Night. Tickets from previously scheduled Racer's Reunions will be honored.

TOLEDO OH (8-12-08)--Tuesday night on Inside ARCA Radio sponsored by Team GLOCK Racing, Scott Speed calls into the show to talk about his Nashville Superspeedway race win and his upcoming appearance at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, which marks his first foray into dirt track racing. ARCA Insider Phil Parsons sheds some insight into Scott Speed's remarkable 2008 race season and ARCA Crew Chief Patrick Donahue tells us how to set up an ARCA RE/MAX Series stock car so that it drives fast on dirt. Illinois State Fairgrounds track promotor Bob Sargent makes some predictions about this weekend's Allen Crowe 100 and Toledo Speedway Late Model feature winner, 62-year-old Harold Fair, Sr., joins us on the phone lines. Plus, Toledo Speedway Sportsman Series drivers Tom O'Leary III and Tom O'Leary IV are live at the Toledo Speedway Bar and Grill with their cars.

FLAT ROCK, MI: (8-10-08): For the fourth time in the last eight Saturday events, Flat Rock Speedway suffered yet another cancellation of its race card. The Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales-sponsored event of August 9, featuring the Buckeye Super Sprints, Michigan Legends and the track's weekly ARCA Street Stocks, Figure 8's and 4 Cylinders fell victim to the rain. A total of 105 cars were on hand.

Flat Rock, MI (8-9-2008)-- Flat Rock Speedway suffered yet another rainout, as the Lakeshore Utility Trailer Night fell victim to the elements. All of qualifying was completed, as the Buckeye Super Sprints, Flat Rock’s Figure 8’s, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders all time trialed before the rain. The Michigan Legends were also on hand for the big 5 division program.
The rain began at the end of qualifying at 6:25 p.m. and the track was just about ready to go when another rain hit the track at 7:45 p.m., ending the racing card.

Brad Keselowski to be at Toledo Friday.
TOLEDO, OH (8-7-2008)--
The popular Autograph Nights are on tap next Friday, August 15 at Toledo
Speedway and the following night, Saturday, August 16 at Flat
Rock Speedway. 2008 NASCAR Nationwide
Series Championship contender Brad Keselowski returns home to Toledo
Speedway Friday evening for an autograph session for fans in
attendance.

Randy DeMaggio took the lead on lap 21 and spent the remainder of the 100-lap feature battling with someone or the other. He won what was probably the biggest race of his racing career when he was victorious in the Street Stock 100-lap feature Saturday night.

Pits open at 1:30, practice at 3, time trials 4:30, autographs at 6:15, racing at 7. (Schedule moved up ½ hour as usual for
Autograph session).
This race
will be an impound race—the notice was posted on the payoff window July 26 (150
lap event) for those of you that did not see it. Read More for additional information.

Final Enduro Now Set Aug 29th.
Flat Rock, MI (8-3-2008)--
Veteran
Tristan Dupuis made it 2 in a row after capturing the Mt. Dew 250 lap Enduro at
Flat Rock Speedway on a bright, sunny Sunday afternoon. Mike Bershback topped the field in the 25 lap
ARCA David’s Jewelry 4 Cylinder main event.

Flat Rock, MI (8-2-2008)--
A
picture-perfect evening was the setting for the Bob’s Car Wash 100 at Flat Rock
Speedway Saturday night for the ARCA Greater Detroit Auto Auction Street Stock
class. Wyandotte, MI driver Randy DeMaggio held back a
great bid by Dan Ford Jr. to win the contest, which was completed in just 42
minutes. Lonnie York took the 40 lap B
Main, Jeremy Miller grabbed the wild Figure 8 race and the duo of Howard Kelley
Jr. and Tom O’Leary III were the victors in the Figure 8 Train race.

It was a night of firsts for Justin Schroeder at Flat Rock Saturday night.

Flat Rock, MI 7/28/08- Some say a win is a win but when it's the first of your career and not to mention that it's the biggest race of the year so far, it may be just a bit more special than an average win. Twenty-one year old Justin Schroeder made a dream come true as he won the Stan Yee Memorial 150 at the Flat Rock Speedway in dominating fashion. Schroeder took the lead on lap eighty and never looked back lapping the entire field with the exception of second and third place finishers.

Flat Rock, MI: (7-26-08)-- For those who follow
Flat Rock Speedway’s Late Model class, everyone knows just how competitive it
is. And for those that witnessed
Saturday night’s Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150, Justin Schroeder’s win
might be an upset of sorts. But the Canton,
MI youngster, who has improved all season,
made his first-ever win very, very special with the victory and a $2866 payday
in the track’s longest race of the season. Ann Yee, Stan Sr.’s widow, made the “Gold
Buddha” trophy presentation to Justin in the Greater Detroit Auto Auction
Winner’s Circle.

Flat Rock, MI (7-26-2008)-- At 2:55 p.m. Saturday, July 26, a brief rain shower hit Flat
Rock Speedway, delaying the start of practice for tonight’s Moran
Chevrolet-Stan Yee Memorial 150 for the Late Models. The track is now being
dried as of 3:10 p.m. and all systems are GO for tonight’s race, the
biggest race of the season.
