FLAT ROCK PRACTICE IN THE BOOKS; JET’S PIZZA SEASON OPENER UP NEXT SATURDAY

Flat Rock, MI—April 23, 2016: A total of 54 cars took part in Saturday’s open test session at Flat Rock Speedway. The 5 hour practice saw a variety of cars take laps in preparation for the Saturday, April 30 Jet’s Pizza Season Opener at the ¼ mile paved oval.

The ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock division saw 20 cars at the practice, while the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Model class had 16 cars hit the track. Several ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s, ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman cars and a group of ARCA Monroe News Enduro/Factory Stocks were also on hand on a bright, sunny, but cool afternoon.

The April 30 time schedule has the pit area opening at 1:30 p.m., practice begins at 3 (front gates will also open at 3), time trials are set for 5:15 and racing gets the first green flag of 2016 at 7 p.m.

The following day, Sunday, May 1, the speedway will hold the semi-annual Flat Rock Historical Society Flea Market from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the grounds for the market is free. Parking is free both days at the track.
