Flat Rock Speedway

Flat Rock, MI—September 9, 2015:  Flat Rock Speedway will bring down the curtain on the 2015 racing season this Saturday, September 12, with the running of the Monroe News 250 lap Enduro championship.  The Michigan Legends Cars will also be part of the race card, and the Bandaleros from Spartan, MI Speedway will make their annual trip to “The Rock” for the final event at the ¼ mile paved oval for the year.  There is no rain date for this event.

2014 Enduro co-champions Robb Remick and Rick Bennett are at it again, with Remick holding a 35 point edge over Rick going into the fifth and final race of the Monroe News Enduro Series for the 2015 title.  The race runs 250 laps, with the event being stopped only for safety precautions.  The field will pit down in the infield of the track, as they did for the August 250 lap race.

Spartan Speedway is the home track for the Michigan Legends Cars and the Bandoleros, and for the second straight year, the 2 classes will make the trip to Flat Rock to take part in the last race of the season.  The Legends Cars were at Flat Rock in July, with Dustin Sword taking the victory.  The Bandoleros feature the race drivers of the future as the 8-14 year old male and female competitors hit the banks of Flat Rock for heats and a feature event.

Fans can bring their ticket stub from the September 5 bus race and receive $5 off admission to the final race of the year at “The Rock”.  The pit gates open at 3, practice begins at 4, time trials are at 5 and race time is 6 p.m.  The front gates will also open at 4 p.m.
