FLAT ROCK RE-SCHEDULES STREET STOCK 100, PROMOTIONS
Flat Rock, MI—June 29, 2015: Saturday’s monsoon-like rains and the cancellation of the June 27 event has brought the re-scheduling of the 100 lap Street Stock race and several promotions for Flat Rock Speedway.
Track officials are hoping the third time is the charm for the running of the Corrigan Race Fuels Street Stock 100 lap special. The race is now set for Saturday, August 22. The original race date of May 30 and last Saturday were both victims of the rain.
The Glass Unlimited Autograph session will now take place Saturday, July 18, setting up a great night of fun and entertainment. The track’s annual Christmas in July prize giveaway is also scheduled for that evening, and the Michigan Legends Cars will join the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Praxair Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks for a big 4 division race card. Santa Claus will also make a special appearance to hand out the prizes and greet the fans!
93.1 NASH FM will return to Flat Rock with the 93.1 Street team for the Saturday, August 8 schedule of events.
The track will host a Friday night special this week, giving fans, teams and officials the 4th of July off to celebrate the holiday with their families. The Friday, July 3 race will also be Kid’s Night and Checkered Flag Night, with all kids to age 12 admitted free and each child will also receive a free mini checkered flag.
The Friday night special will see the Figure 8’s, Street Stocks, MCR Dwarf Cars and the Monroe News Enduro Series 250 lap event. The pits open at 3, practice begins at 4, time trials are at 5:30 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
