(Flat Rock, Michigan—May 25, 2015):  Entries have begun arriving for the second race of the ARCA Royal Truck and Trailer Late Model Gold Cup Series of the season, the Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100, set for Saturday, June 6 at Flat Rock Speedway.  A field of 25-30 Late Models is expected.

The legendary Fair, who passed away December 10, 2011 at the age of 81, was one of the top short track racers in the country, amassing over 800 career feature victories around the Midwest in his lifetime.  Joy was a 10-time Flat Rock Speedway champion and 7-time Toledo Speedway champ and is the all-time win leader at both tracks.  Fair is the all-time feature win leader for the ARCA Late Model division at Flat Rock with 159 victories.  Joy also is the career win leader at Toledo with 97 checkered flags in Late Model competition.

Early entries include defending race winner Justin Schroeder, 2015 Flat Rock feature winners and past Flat Rock champs Steve Cronenwett Jr. and Paul Pelletier, past Flat Rock champions Joe Hawes and Dennis Strickland, Toledo driver Nick Bailey, former Flat Rock Street Stock champ Frankie Jiovani and Indiana hotshoe Scott Hantz.

The 100 lap contest will award the winner $2000, with $500 to start posted for the 24 car field.  If there are 32 cars or more, a 25 lap B Main will be run, with $500 to the winner.  Practice, time trials, last-chance race(s) and the possible B Main will make up the race card for the Gold Cup Series.  DTS Drive Train Specialists of Warren, MI will award a $100 bonus to the fastest qualifier for all six (6) of the Royal Truck and Trailer Gold Cup events in 2015.

Lap money at $5 per lap is available by calling 734-782-2480 or 419-727-1100.  The Wayne Pelkey family will award $340 to the leader of lap 26 in memory of Wayne, a former Late Model car owner and driver.  Pelkey passed away earlier this year.  The list of lap money sponsors is listed below.

The NASCAR FedEx show car will also be on display in the spectator concourse, courtesy of Diamond Racing Products.  The track will also be hosting its annual Racer’s Reunion June 6.
