THINGS TO KNOW FOR FLAT ROCK SPEEDWAY PRACTICE DAY SATURDAY!
Here are a few things to know for this Saturday’s (April 18) practice session at Flat Rock Speedway. These few notes will make the day a little smoother! The practice will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pits open at 9 a.m. ALL pit passes are $15 each. ARCA membership forms will be available at registration-ALL drivers are required to be ARCA members. At the very least, all drivers are to fill out a form BEFORE you go on the track Saturday.
Tech: Cars may line up to the tech barn on the driveway. WHEN the line gets beyond the exit drive from the track, we will send cars up along the turns 1 and 2 wall to line up for tech. We will bring you down from the hill as room permits. ALL cars must a least go through a safety check before you go on-track Saturday. For safety check only, see Jack or Jason in the tech barn. It is strongly suggested that you go through full tech at some point during the day—it will make opening day less hectic for everyone.
Tires/Fuel: Both will be available Saturday. All sales must be paid for that day. All sales will end at 3;50 p.m. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE. Tire prices are same as last year; $111 each for Hoosier 880’s, $136 each for 3035 and 3045’s for Late Models. Fuel is $8 per gallon. Scrap tires will be taken, only if they hold air, and only the tires we run will be accepted—NO EXCEPTIONS.
Parking; Pad rental is not in effect for practice. As most of you know, parts of the pit area are pretty soft. DO not go past the end of the pads on the west end of the pits. Park only as directed by track staff. When you leave, back up. Don’t go forward, don’t go left or right to go out, unless you want to be stuck!
Pad rentals; See Scott if you want to rent a pad.
The restrooms and pit concession stand will be open. We will also have our new shirts, hooded sweatshirts and hats on sale. We will take a 15 minute break about half-way through the day.
Spectators and family members may sit in the main grandstand area. ANYONE in the pits must have a pit pass and be signed in.
Decals, race procedure sheets and the like will be available in the tech barn. Be sure to have the sponsor decals on your car for opening night, please.
