OVER 100 ATTEND RACER REUNION AT TOLEDO SPEEDWAY BAR & GRILL
More than 100 former drivers, car owners, mechanics, officials, sponsors and racing enthusiasts participated in the 12th annual Racer’s Reunion Saturday March 21 at the Toledo Speedway Bar & Grill.
Displays of photos, scrapbook clippings, yearbooks, diecasts, rulebooks, trophies and racing memorabilia of all sorts were available for viewing from 1 to 6 p.m. In addition, videos of races from the 60s through the 90s were available for viewing and a special photo collection honoring Rollie Beale from Toledo Raceway Park in the 1950s was displayed on the big screen behind the Bar & Grill stage. The always popular trivia contest was again a hit, with many prizes distributed to those correctly identifying the drivers displayed.
Photos taken at the function are now posted on the Toledo track website at www.flatrockspeedway.com under “Latest Photos”.
Next activities for Racer Reunion participants are Friday, June 5 at Toledo Speedway and Saturday, June 6 at Flat Rock Speedway. The June 6 race is also the annual Joy Fair Memorial 100 for ARCA Royal Truck & Trailer Gold Cup Late Models.
