Flat Rock Speedway

Toledo, Ohio—January 30, 2015:  The 2015 season for the ARCA/Flat Rock Speedway DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stock drivers will have extra incentive for the upcoming schedule.  Stahl Performance Fab will award a chassis to the “Hard Charger” of the class at the annual awards banquet in November.

Kevin Stahl Sr. and Kevin Stahl Jr. have stepped forward with this new program for the Street Stocks at “The Rock” in 2015.  The father-son business will also offer a special one-time price to the winner of the chassis to complete the car.

A point system will be put in place for each of the A Main feature races on the schedule. 1 point will be awarded for each position improved from their starting position to their finishing position.  A weekly update of the point chase for the Stahl Performance Fab Hard Charger Award will be posted on the track’s web page.

“We are very pleased to announce this new award for the Street Stock drivers,” stated Kevin Stahl Sr.  “I’ve had a lot of help throughout my racing career, and this is an opportunity to pay it forward by giving one of the Street Stock racers a helping hand.”

Stahl Performance Fab is currently busy assisting several Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway customers to prepare their cars for the new season.  “We don’t do just chassis work,” said Kevin Stahl Jr.  “We offer setups, body and interior work as well as any other fab work, racing-related or not.  We have fun working on race cars and it’s a way for my Dad and me to spend time together,” noted the younger Stahl.  “The Street Stock class at Flat Rock has been known as a very competitive class for many years.  It’s a great way for a young driver to get his feet wet in stock car racing, and we’re pleased to be a part of the division by creating the Hard Charger Award.”

“This award by Stahl Performance Fab is really what short track racing and Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway is all about,” added Scott Schultz, General Manager of the 2 tracks.  “While the competition on the track is pretty fierce, as well it should be, the cooperation of the race teams to assist each other is like no other sport.  We are extremely grateful to Kevin Stahl Sr. and his son Kevin Jr. for having the initiative to create the Hard Charger Award for the Flat Rock Street Stock class.  The award will certainly add some excitement and fun to Saturday nights.”
