(FLAT ROCK, MI and TOLEDO, Ohio - July
2, 2012) - As America
prepares to celebrate Independence Day, Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways have
announced their Armed Forces Appreciation Nights. Toledo’s
date is Friday, August 10, while Flat Rock will honor our servicemen and women
Saturday, August 18.
All military
personnel, active or retired, will be admitted free of charge on both
nights. Members are asked to provide
their military identification at the ticket windows upon arrival to the tracks
on those 2 dates.
“We are very
pleased and honored to support our military members by hosting them as our
guests at our 2 tracks,” noted Ron Drager, owner and promoter of the
speedways. “This is a small gesture on
our part to pay our respect to those that have served our country.”
Friday,
August 10, Toledo
will open its front gates at 5 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. The ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman, R &
M Recycling Street Stocks and the Buckeye 305 Winged Sprint cars will be in
action.
Saturday,
August 18 at Flat Rock, the gates open at 4, an on-track autograph session with
the drivers begins at 6:15 and racing starts at 7 p.m. The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, DTS
Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and the Parts Galore Figure 8’s will
provide the fun and excitement!
